For those of your who do not know how PTO works in Bushburg, I'm going to give a brief explanation.
At Bushburg we all get a minimum of 5 Sick/Personal days a year, a minimum of 5 Vacation Days after 6 months of work, and 10 Floating Holidays a year.
Floating Holidays are mostly relevant for people who work in the 3611 office, since that location has certain Jewish Holidays that the office is officially closed and employees don't really have the option to work those days. The Floating Holidays can be religious holidays or legal holidays. For a list of what those Holidays are please refer to this chart. If an employee celebrates any other day for cultural or religious reasons, not included in this list, they can make that request to make that Holiday one of their Floating Holidays (Ex: Good Friday, Eid, etc)
When an employee would like to take one of their Paid Time Off days they have to do the following steps:
Go in the PTO-Requests Channel in Slack and click on this form and fill it out.
Mention in the Slack Channel that you have filled out a Form and @Laura. This is important so that I can be notified that someone has requested a day off.
Go to add your OOO (Out of office) in your Bushburg Calendar, so that everyone knows you will not be available that day.
If you have any questions, please let me know in Slack and I will do my best to clarify anything that may not be clear.
