American Express New Rules

This article will be changing a few things from the previous article about American Express usage (Follow this link for previous article)


As I expressed in an email to the office staff on March 15th, in an attempt to keep a track of purchases, we are going to make some changes to how things are purchased. We will no longer be sharing American Express Cards between employees, and any person that will make Business Purchases will need their own card.


Any employee that needs to make purchases on a regular basis can request to have their own card, and will be responsible for their own receipts for their own purchases.

Whomever needs to get a card, please send me an email with the subject: AMEX CARD REQUEST and a brief note on what would be the card mainly used for. (EX: Office Supplies, Building Supplies Etc.)

Regarding the Company accounts that we have (Amazon, Home Depot etc.) When Making online purchases, the person that makes the purchase will have to use their own card to make the purchases even if they use the same login that we have for the company account.


For employees that are under 21 years old, with no other previous credit card history, American Express may need to receive a copy of your Social Security Card along with a copy of a separate form of Identification in order to activate your card, this can be provided by fax or mailed out to them.


The following employees already have their cards activated and are able to make purchases for the company.

The following have requested a card but are not able to make purchases yet as either their card has not arrived or it hasn't been able to be activated yet.

  • Emma Kisner

I am making note of this because whomever is not on this list will not be able to make purchases for the buildings, so Property Managers, or other management staff, please do not request from anyone that's not on this list to make purchases for the company, as they will not be able to do so.


Anyone that does have a card, will have to follow the same protocol that was described in the previous article.
