It is finally the last week of 2020. We would have never thought that this year was going to bring such a major shift in the world, but it did, and Bushburg Properties also went through a major shift in management and in the way we do things. We welcomed Plaza into our day to day and even though we were nervous at first, we had faith, we welcomed the guidance and the trainings we received and we were all able to grow so much, not only as individuals, but as a team and company as a whole.
In the 15 years I have worked for Bushburg I have seen many things, and I must say I am very proud of all the accomplishments we have made and I am very confident that it will continue to grow and get better. Change can be difficult, but without change we can't grow and our goals should always be to improve ourselves, grow and strive to be our best selves.
In 2021 we will continue to welcome more changes, and more processes and we will continue to grow and learn and implement new things. Things like:
New Office
New Filing System
Compliance Training and Tracking
Holiday Calendar
Employee Manuals/Self Evaluations
and many more things as we continue to grow and improve things.
I hope that we all continue to grow as a team and learn to communicate better and continue to develop this community that is Bushburg.
I would like to wish all our Staff members a Happy New Year, may 2021 be better than this year and may it bring many blessings to all.
For this last week's announcements we have the following:
This week is New Year's, and I would like to remind you that on January 1st all field employees are off. Supers and Porters and Doormen will have the day off on January 1st and Doormen are allowed to leave at 4pm on Dec 31st. Our Flager Office will be closed. On January 1st there should be no collection calls and most tenants will not want to have work done in their units that day either. (Same as Thanksgiving and Christmas) Banks and the Post office will be closed, so there will be no mail to sort or checks to deposit. However, since this is the 1st of the month, Property Managers and the Leasing department must make sure that any new move ins will be taken care of, any Loft Board buyouts are handled and the accounting department is responsible of making sure that any 1st of the month items are taken care of as well. Anyone who will be taking the day off should send me a Time Adjustment Sheet via email by Wednesday
Rent Manager has come up with new enhancements that I'm sure many of you will find useful. If a payment is applied to the wrong tenant, you can now move that payment to another tenant from the TRANSACTION DETAILS pop-up. When you click the Move button, a MOVE PAYMENT pop-up displays for you to select the correct tenant, provided the correct tenant’s lease is at the same default property. Path: Rental Info → Tenants → select a tenant → Transactions tab → select a payment → Details button → Move button
